Saúde na linha
This innovative project by Viva Rio is an effective tool for monitoring, preventing and responding to high-risk pregnancies. It aims to create a systematic intervention model for identifying vulnerabilities and assisting pregnant women, parents and caregivers of children between zero and six years of age. Working in partnership with the municipal government of Rio de Janeiro, a designated staff from Viva Rio stays permanently in touch with patients through regular home visits and phone calls, alerting healthcare professionals in the event of complications.
42% REDUCTION
in maternal mortality in the Northern Zone of Rio, where the project started.
Saúde na Linha works with a multidisciplinary team and exclusive questionnaires for identifying high-risk situations. The next step is to adapt the technology to monitor other health conditions such as syphilis and tuberculosis.
