Domestic Violence prevention
Domestic Violence Prevention Project aims to encourage the discussion on the topic with health professionals, contributing for an intersectoral and comprehensive care to families experiencing violence, facilitating dialogue between health facilities with other institutions and social policies. Training and awareness courses to health care professionals and other interested parties are offered, in which issues these issues are addressed: the relationship between violence and health, the types of violence, violence in different life cycles (child, teen, woman / adult elderly), the importance of networking that allow discussion and better understanding about the subject and about the importance of identification, host, service and referral of cases of violence.
Alongside the courses debates are encouraged to enable the exchange of experience and presentation of flow services to cases of domestic violence forums. Besides, it provides constant updating, mapping of the Social Protection Network that consists of field research and data collection on local institutions and actors that develop activities with families in situations of domestic violence.
